Rat Race is one of the worst movies I've seen in recent memory. It's just a hack re-write of "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World".
Here's an example of the great writing in the movie. Whoopi Goldberg and friend steal a rocket-car and crash it. Where they crash there happens to be a bus full of mental patients. Because they are shaken from the crash, they are mistaken for mental patients, and put on the bus. Ha ha ha! Outrageous!
The only funny person in the movie is Rowan Atkinson.
But if you like T.V. shows like "Friends", you will like this movie.
