: Recently I went to see 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' with a few friends. After the movie, one friend said 'Yeah, it was slightly funny, but there was absolutely no plot at all.' I did not go to the movie expecting much of a plot, having seen Dogma (another comedic masterpiece) that roughly flowed through its story, but still accomplished its goal. Jay and Silent Bob did excellenty without a plot, focusing on dialog instead of stupid plot devices like the idiotic parody 'Scary Movie'. Personally, I loved the movie, the excellent actors that portayed 'Jay' and 'Silent Bob', and all of the cameos by other famous actors that are traditionally in Kevin Smith's movies. The funny thing is, about 1/8th way through the movie, I noticed an older couple get up and leave. 'Oh, they probably had to go to the bathroom' I thought stupidly. Then another older couple got up. Then a whole group of older people. This continued until half of the theater was empty! I guess they decided that they were above 'trash' like 'Jay and Silent Bob'. I guess like Kevin says, "No flick's for everyone." Screw em' I say! They paid for their ticket, and that means Kevin got his well deserved and hard earned money! Thanks for reading my two cents!
