: : its sad t hat u would tell people this

: : : FYI
: : : I rate Kevin's movie as the following (1 being the best of)

: : : 1) Chasing Amy: Jason Lee is funny in this movie, it deals with comics, it got a great "non-hollywood" ending, it's got great dialog and it came from the heart.

: : : 2) Tied: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Mallrats. Why you ask, well Mallrats got me started on Kevin Smith movies, and at first I thought I was just a Jason Lee fan, but after watching his later movies (Kissing A Fool, Mumford etc) I wasn't very impressed, and then I came to the conclusion that Jason Lee is at his best when Kevin is doing the dialog, so that's when I became a die hard Kevin Smith fan. Mallrats had comics, titties, dick and fart jokes and the dialog was great! Plus the soundtrack was kick ass. Jay and Silent Bob is along the same lines and I laughed my ass off. I would have made it rank over Mallrats, but then I have to give props to both movies being equally good.

: : : 3) Dogma: Great cast, great script, great fun! I laughed my ass off, but not as impressed as Mallrats or JASBSB. Great movie, regardless

: : : 4) Clerks: This movie had its moments, and to most of you this movie is what got you stared on Kevin Smith movies. But I didn't watch Clerks until after I watched Mallrats and Chasing Amy. So when I finally got to it, it didn't impress me as much. I have the up most apprienation (sp) for the movie because this is what got Kevin started, but you have to understand that I just watched Chasing Amy before watching this. My reasons for rating it on the low end is that it didn't have Jason Lee (of course, it wouldn't cause he didn't know him then), it delt more with star wars theme rather than comic books, the acting to me in my opinion wasn't great (of course the acting wasn't the best in Mallrats either), the actors (besides Mewes and Smith) weren't anyone I liked. Brian O'Halloran came off a little too winey (more then what his character should be), Jeff Anderson seemed a little stail to be playing Randal's character. I loved Clerks: Uncencored (animated show). This is just my personal feelings on the movie. But, BUT I still enjoyed the movie, it just wasn't (in my opinion) as good as his others, even though it was his first. Clerks is still way funnier than other non-Smith movies. Like on a larger scale, Clerks would be high on the list, just not as high as Mallrats, Dogma, Chasing Amy and JASBSB.
