I was watching my Mallrats DVD again for the 50th time and it occured to me that I had no concern for TS as I watched this movie. Of course I care for Brodie because I can relate to him since I get to see is full opening story. The deleted scenes section shows TS's full opening story and it shows you why Brandy's father hates TS even more. It shows the incident ant the Governor's Ball and it also shows you why MR Svening hates Brodie. But most of all gives you more concern for TS's character because it gives you a humorous scene with TS in the opening and a longer cvonversation with his girlfriend. Mallrats would have done so much better if you had theses back stories added. I know it would have been too long a flic but those moment s were precious. Think about it, if Kevin Smith had cut the Brodie scene in the beginning with his girlfriend and his Sega it would have been a completely different movie. Cutting TS's opening put the movie in a whole new dynamic. Just my opinion. I find it hard to watch Mallrats without watching these scenes first.
