Well to anyone who has spent any amount of time on the internet you begin to realize that the issue of newbies is an everpresent thing. It is part of dealing in a society were most groups are held in open forums(like this) where anyone can walk up and join in. And to an extent that causes problems, basically it is like changing schools as being a high school senior. Suddenly you are new and everyone else already knows eachother. All the regulars had a nice calm thing they were used to, suddenly the influx of nearly as many as they came along and flooded the place. And most of the regulars would be very happy to have new enthusiasts, I mean this is a place to celebrate the works of view askew and rejoice. The real problem starts with people who flame and spam, that puts the regulars on edge. And this board has never in its entire history been the nicest place, no matter what you asked someone was gonna come up with a smart remark, after all look at the witty movies we watch. And to single yourself out as a newbie can only hurt you, nobody really cares as long as you aren't acting like a jerk. To anyone who wonders what is expected, just go look around through some of the archived boards. As long as you prove thoughtful or appropriately funny you won't have a problem. Because believe it or not this is probably the easiest clique on the net to get in to.
