How the hell would it ever become common knowledge? Do you think the production company would put on the box "Don't buy this, there will be a better one in six months!" You have to get on the net and make sure. When I first got into DVD's about a year ago I got burned a few times; but quickly learned how to be DVD savey. In general, NEVER, buy a DVD with just the movie (trailers, cast and crew, recomendations, anamorphic, ARE NOT EXTRAS!). Be patient. I've been waiting for a Goodfellas special edition and might wait a long time; but it will come.
