It's hard to know what to say in a time such as this. I've read through many of the mesages on this board and the feeling is the same as it is across the nation, one of shock and utter, utter horror at the day's catastrophe. Not a single person in America can look at the images on the TV and not be touched. Even leaders of our so-called enemies have denouced the act of cowardice included Yassir Arafat, Palestinian leader, despite some of the more fanatical anti-Americans dancing around in glee.
Tomorrow, when the light of dawn hits us, we will be in a different world, another chapter of our disillusionment. My sister lives in New York, praise God she lived on the other side of the city. When the numbers come in... well, I don't even want to think of the numbers or the aftermath. Bottom line is someone has to pay. America will rise up from this and become stronger. I'm proud to be an American, because at least I know I'm free, and I'll be damned if we let terrorists take that away from us. The blame will fall on Bin Laden, there is little doubt about that. Some people may write it off, saying that it's too obvious and that the wrong person will be punished. Bin Laden is not innocent, and the full force of American might will fall on him, and Afghanistan for haboring him. An example must be made and an example will be made. We have a strange concept of justice in this matter, for one people say it's a terrible, terrible thing, but we must be careful not to place our judgement on the wrong person, yes judgement is for God alone to place, but damn I want these SOBs to pay, and not just capture and stick a painless needle in them, I'm talking full purification by pain, Braveheart style, except without the mercy beheading at the end. Bring me Bin Laden's head on a platter, not to mention all those other Muslim extremists and Iraqi and Iranian fucks.
That's all, I seriously needed to vent guys, and guess this was the forum I chose. Be in prayer for the victims, the survivors, and all their families and friends. If you are not religious, well, now is a good time to start, just don't go extremist (all about the libral christianity thing). There is hope and peace there, even in times such as these. Easy to say, but can you do it? Alright ya'll, if you are still with me, good night.
Peace in the name of my Lord and Savior,
Silent Lunchbox
