Because no one knows the true depth of the damage (in regards of numbers), it's impossible to say, "yes, we have enough blood."
And anyway: even if there IS, somehow, enough blood right now for the current events, the RC always needs bloods--for fires, accidents, operations--right in your own backyard. Just because it doesn't make the national news, that doesn't mean it's not needed.
