...but think of all the people who are donating blood right now. Heartwarming and wonderful to see (lines around the block, etc)--but the Red Cross has ANOTHER problem..many centers around the country are short staffed on those willing, and able, to help COLLECT the blood. Some of you may want to consider calling the Red Cross and getting information on training. (Normally, after you take the 2 or so hour class, you have to wait a certain amount of time before your paperwork is processed and you're officially able to work a drive, but I wouldn't be surprised if normal procedures are sped the hell up right now.

Don't get me wrong, donating blood, money, etc. is still a wonderful, and much needed act...but that's the first thought that comes into people's minds. I just wanted to put another thought out there too.

I'm going to bed (going to SLEEP is another matter). Again, thoughts and prayers for everyone who waits tonight to hear word on friends and family members.

: I would like to take this time to encourage everyone here to donate blood, money, food etc. if they can to the Red Cross to help the victims. I plan to donate blood tomorrow if they will let me (I have been on medicines) and want to remind you all that while the many needless deaths were a horrible tragedy, there is still something we can do for those who are still suffering.
