wow...i can't believe any of these has actually happened. when i see the news, its like watching a bruce willis movie or something. the impact of today hasn't quite sunk in yet. but jeez it was a wierd day. it started out normal, me walking to the high school, going to math, riding the bus back to the middle school(me and my friends are smart in math :)).then, in the middle of second hour, there was an announcement that went something like this- "We are all very saddened by the events of this morning, but we must continue our day." of course that wasnt it exactly, but that was the basic message. none of us knew what was going on at the time, so our teacher explained. he said that 2 planes hit the world trade center and that one crashed into the pentagon and its on fire at the moment. i thought the latter of those was more severe, because at the time the WTC hadnt collapsed yet. i didn't worry too much about everything, and then in 6th hour there was another announcement saying that all afterschool activities were cancelled. of course all the people in sports whined and asked the teacher to explain why, so she went on about some stuff, not really telling us much, and just saying that the world can be a scary place. the rest of the day was fairly normal, until i got home from school. i turned on the TV and saw a video of the WTC with one blast in it. i continued watching, and they showed the second plane going through it. that just sent chills through me. watching a plane fly through a famouse building you lived near when you were young is frightening. i was really worried for my dad and brother who live in new york, but they were ok. i kept watching the news, and then i saw the video of the builing collapsing. i nearly fainted. i had no idea they had collapsed! it made me sick, and i went to my room and cryed for a while. i talked with my mom a bit, and she made me very scared. she said that this is the end of the world, and that theres gonna be a huge war, and just other depressing things. she tends to exaggerate quite a bit. well, thats about it. i can't believe that the towers are gone...the new york skyline is gonna look a lot different.
goodnight, all. my prayers go out to all of you who had friends and family who passed away.
~blessed be
