I'm sorry, but I just have to ask-how were we trying to force something on the people of Viet Nam? The way I remember it is that there were 2 countries, North Viet Nam (Communist) and South Viet Nam (not Communist). We were asked by the SVN government to assist them when the French forces pulled out. I am not saying that the SVN government was perfect, but we did not force our way in.
