: HOW?

: I have been listening all day, I was on this board when it happened, and talked about the events with people here this morning, but I don't understand how this is suposedly so sophisticated?

: Highly coordinated?

: I am sure I am missing some detials but they never say WHY it is so complex of a plan, so sophisticed, so impossible for amatuers to do...

: 4 planes got hijacked at roughly the same time, and then the flights were directed to two very very very large targets. This we know. 1 didn't hit its target.

Taking over a plane, then killing the pilots and taking over a plane isnt to easy.

: How is that sooo expensive and sophisticated? It sounds like they media is just trying ot make us feel like its REALLY super hard to do.

: We also don't know if there may have been 20 terrorists in the sky, and only 4 of them actually went through with it. That is possible. There could be countless scenerios.

Could be, i haven't heard about 20... But still. These guys are willing to kill themselfs and other people for their "cause". As for more airplane crashes, I doubt that will happen. They've locked up planes so much they can't use that anymore. Maybe bombs and stuff though.

: I mean in colombine, the two 17 year olds had bombs timed to go off to set a diversion, and systematically killed, they had all kinds of plans. Surely those two 17 year olds werent accused of being highly sophisticated. They just had a plan.

: I just don't get it. They never say WHY this plan is so tough to pull off.

The other details they failed to mention was the guys had to know how to fly a 757 (or 767). And know how to use most of the instruments, easier said then done. They had to also, stop the pilots from sending the secret "squak" code. Every plane has a tranmitter, which in a hijack is suppose to be set to a certain number code and then turned on (sqauked).

: I am not making ANY commmentary or assumptions, I just feel like they aren't backing up what they are saying, all day.

Your right man, they should. And they are probably making it sound a little harder than it really is. But it does look like a radical group because of the number of guys involed (prolly 2 per plane), all the trainign they need to fly, and also sneaking on board with knifes.

And also, alot of (american) terrorist would rather not kill themselfs in the process, granted... they do kill themselfs often. But it'd be rare that all 4-8 of the would all want to die for something like the federal government taking away freedom.

this kinda thing just sounds like a bigger plan. It certianly took some planning to do. But as for expensive, Prolly not to horribly expensive, if they had inside guys to help them they may of had to pay them out. thats about it.

: If three of my buddies and I all got different flights with 10 minutes of each other, and both tried to get wacky on the plane, and we all were pilots so we could steer a plane if we needed to, I am SURE I wouldnt need more than 800 bucks, and some mighty screwed up minds. How many times was this plan aborted? How many other planned attempts went wrong? How many were really involved? It just doesn't seem that complex. 4 crazy people could do it with sychronized watches, plane tickets and a bad idea.

Anything can be simplified like that really. The civil war was a bunch of southerners that wanted their own country. It's still pretty complex thing to do. Granted, if you found some messed up well trianed people it could be done, but it just doesn't sound like something a group of friends would do

: Again, no commentary, just seems like the plan is overblown to me.

Hope I helped.
