Please don't dismiss this. I am very concerned with all of this and the tragedy that this is for many people as it is for me. But consider that this attack on innocent people, if it did at all come from the middle east is most likely linked to the ever growing request of richer nations for cheap gas. Yes, it is arguable that most things happening in the middle east is linked to oil. It is the basis of their economy, so it affects everything. Do not read this as a justification for evil acts, it is not. But consider it the next time you see a SUV on the street. I still believe that many lives could have been saved today had we taken another route as a society. But most of all I think that right now all of our energy should be directed to rescue efforts and and humanitarian aid to the victims. I mourn the victims although by now I am pretty sure that I do not know any of them.

: On my way home, I noticed incredible lines at the gas stations, and that prices have already started to jump up. Do the events of today somehow effect the gas supply--or are the gas stations (as much as I hate to consider it) using this as an excuse to hike up the cost? Just wondering.
