Is in relation to the facts that other nations have been living with the horror of severe terrorist acts for a long time, and this time the United States was hit so tragically...

I find it interesting that when you express disgust over the bombing of Nagasaki you say "When WE bombed..." but when you express that this tragedy may be a positive (which I'll get to in a second) you say that "YOU deserve the abuse". Well, I don't think that this tragedy is in any way deserved regardless of any compassion that may or may not be awakened by it. Possibly tens of thousands of humans died today, and I don't care if this ushers in a New World Order of Peace and Love the sad truth is still that tens of thousands of innocent people died today and they did not deserve that.

: I'm also very disgusted by this. On the news you see many people talking about how this is so "shocking", how America's "innocence" is lost, etc. Anyone remember Nagasaki? When we bombed those civilians it was the evil of the atomic bomb that was at fault, but when it's something like what happened today it was all those "evil turban wearers". Not to mention that the last time something like this happened to the US was Pearl Habor, which got us involved in helping the Jews, gays, etc. in the Holocaust. If it takes something that heartless to get you to do something compassionate you deserve the abuse.
