There's no debate here.

We are already at war.

This attack was an act of war, not your typical isolated terrorist act. They targeted the *center of US military operations ON OUR OWN SOIL.* That alone makes it an act of war. But the magnitude of the loss in terms of human life requires retailation on the part of the United States, our allies, and the international system in general.

Problem is we don't know yet who exactly we are at war with. It could be Osama Bin Laden, Iraq, a radial Palestinian faction, some combination of organizations, or someone else entirely.

But just because Congress hasn't passed an Act of War yet, don't make the mistake of thinking we're not at war.
