no matter where you live: go out and give blood. I am a former employee, and current volunteer, of the Red Cross (in fact, I'm leaving in a few minutes to help collect blood). I don't know how many of you realize this, but the country's blood supply was at a critical, even an emergency, level BEFORE this happened. Something like this could literally wipe out the remaining supply. The whole time I worked there, I never once used the board to "advertise" the Red Cross, but this time I'm going to: instead of watching TV or reading the board and feeling sorry for those who have been affected, maybe you can instead go out and help save their lives.
