Hey Kev--Obviously congrats on the films recent success. You may know of a cover band "Love Lies Bleeding" out of Belmar NJ. The bass player Steve has been in an original project of mine called MAJESTIC 12. Despite our success in the NYC/Joisey club scenes, we cant believe that many GREAT bands have to cow-tow to the cover-band dominated scene. I mean, these guys are getting paid stupid bucks to play whats on k-rock! We are stuck in this scene here and it is about next to impossible to get A&R's accross the Hudson to see any NJ talent. Do you have any advice that may be helpful in sparking an original scene out here? Or any indie labels that may take unsolicited material. We are a 7 piece funk/rock act and EVERY time we have played out here we have completely pissed on the cover act that we open 4. Despite this, we continually have to eat a shit sandwich with all the trimmings. I know you support the locals - you always did -- and we could use some advice on how to break the hell out of this place. Looking at our art and culture here in NJ, I must proclaim that for the first time, im ashamed to play music out here. HELP US, I BEG YOU!!!
Peace n hair grease,
Eddie Blue
