It was US Postal Service delivery with no signature required just 'Delivery Confirmation' service.

I have alot of things delivered by UPS, USPS and FedEx most of which are just left for me without signature and have never had this problem before or since. I suppose I should change my profile with all of them so that a signature is always required. It's just so much easier than making special trips to pick up packages around my work hours.

Your next question will probably be about insurance. I opt to pay for insurance for higher value items, but I usually skip it on cheaper things. I guess I've learned that lesson.
