In all fairness they couldn't have had it out for them from the word go.
Would you spend all that money on six episodes expecting to never
air them? I believe it was the usual Hollywood weirdness that often
happens where the people who originally green lit the project and
were behind it are gone before the show is ready to air and you're left
with a bunch of morons who don't get it.
