I would say the reason for the disappearing ads is because of the lackluster performance of the movie at the box office. It has dropped to #8 in the top 10 movies of last week and many of you have said the threatres are nearly empty when you see the movie. So, the company and theater chains say why promote a movie that isn't making them money?
