It's 1995. The Chasing Amy DVD sez that Tricia graduates in 1995 (advanced grad), and since Brodie's famous "Tricia here's only 15, but she's a senior" line cements it. Since Mallrats is in April, she graduates in May or June. Then again, the Clerks: Lost Scene funeral sets Clerks & Mallrats as 1994...so, who knows?
