That wasn't God's true voice. She just manipulated the vocal strings of the body she was in. So there
: in dogma, metatron says that humans can't withstand hearing the voice of God (hence, the reason jay's ears were covered when bartleby dies). yet, when bethany asks God why we're here, God answers with "Mrrmph." My question is why wasn't bethany's head in a million pieces all over the sidewalk after hearing that? I've gotten responses such as "well, 'mrrmph'isn't a word" but that argument is stale because neither is that screaming sound that came out of her mouth when bartleby died. so does the volume of God's voice decide whether or not humans explode, is it a mistake on kevin's part, is bethany special in some way? this may seem picky, but it's just been with me since the first time i watched it.
