In the Chasing Amy DVD jacket is says that Derris graduated in 85, which means that the finger-cuffs thing must've happened while he was in school, because that's when he'd be around Alyssa. So, it had to happen during his senior year. Sure, she was, like, 13... Didn't say it wouldn't confuse people...
