The fact on the JC guy has been around for a LONG while, and to be truthful, I forgot his name. People were buzzing about it when 'Powder' was getting good reviews. I HAD forgotten him, his name,etc., and I gained the current info from the earlier thread.
I just find it odd that they can see the buzz on a film like J&SBSB and actually...HOWEVER they got it...do reports on Jay, who, in the grand Hollywood scheme of things, is not of any real relevance (YET!)...now, if it was KEVIN, might be different.
Also, there is a slight "duh!" factor involved when you can show a picture of Jay in a Chronic costume and then say "This guy once got busted for drugs...".
It is very much equivelent to "Turning Up" a marijuana arrest on Cheech or Chong from 1977. Would it be a shock? What's the point?
On the OTHER hand, this guys films seem to (Please take with a grain of salt...I have never SEEN his films...), be set in or about high school kids, and he is a DIRECTOR, and this is a very serious crime.
Even cops use the term "Recreational Drug Use" or "Personal Amount" when it comes to drugs...
When have you EVER heard the phrase "Recreational Child Molestation" or "Personal Amount of Sex With A Minor"?
