"The Catholic Church". Like it's an all-knowing Artificial Intelligence or something. The church is a large group of people, period. It's a community of sorts. You cannot expect a group that large to all believe exactly the same things and worship in exactly the same way.

I'm sure there are more than a few priests out there who agree with lots of what Kev expresses in his flicks. Sure, they may never rise through the ranks and become pope, but they're out there, doing the Lord's work.

Hell, I went to school with a gay dude who wanted to be a priest (he ended up not getting into seminary, unfortunately).

Considering that the Catholic Church changes the rules more than most people change their underwear, why would you assume that someone has to conform to all the dogma before they get to call themselves a Catholic?

Peace out.

(Disclaimer: Skippy ain't Catholic. He's a member of the United Church of Canada, an amalgamation of Presbyterian and Methodist.)
