I'm ashamed that I waited this long to see JSBSB, but damned if I wasn't pleased as punch. I tried to avoid any sort of reviews, comments, drunken ramblings scrawled on cocktail napkins, etc. about this flick, if only to preserve my sweet, virginal self, but it was almost impossible. Almost everyone had something to say, one way or the other. But you know what? Good or bad, god bless 'em all, it really didn't matter. I made up my mind to see it long before it existed, for the simple reason that those two wacky fucks make me laugh. That's what this film was meant to do: make us laugh. And it succeeded completely. With Jay and Silent Bob, you can't go into it expecting Shakespeare. But it's always one giant fuck of a good time, and the fifth time 'round is no different. YES, it's inside. VERY inside. I went to an early matinee before work today, so the theater wasn't too crowded, and I found myself laughing WAY too loud at lines like "It's days like this when I miss dating a lesbian." And I knew that I was probably one of maybe five or ten people in the theater that actually GOT that. But I also noticed EVERYONE laughing a hell of a lot. The movie is funny as hell, whether you actually DO know what snoogans means, or you've never even HEARD of Jay and Silly Bob before. So encourage EVERYONE you know to see it. Encourage people you've just met. Pick up the phone book and work your way to "G" during your lunch hour. Everyone should see this flick. Nuns especially.

One more thing...Lee's face at the end of the Brodie scene made me laugh myself stupid. Moreso.

And on that note, cue the music.
