As long as you've read the summaries and don't ask anything that's covered there, you probably won't get flamed. I say probably because there is the occasional ass who will flame you for pretty much anything, but they can be safely ignored.
As for the password, there's no way to make it stay that I know of, but if you go back to the register to post page there is a section where you can change your password to something easier to remember.
