: I saw the movie again to, uh, help the box office. It didn't get any
better.

: I really tried to like this movie. Didn't work. I still think it was just
quickly thrown together to try and make a buck. This time I specifically
looked for use of the $20 million budget. Were there really special
effects in this film? Oh, well. Most of the summer movies failed this
year, why not this one.

Quickly thrown together?....OK. I can understand how someone
might not like it (even tho I thought it was the funniest I've seen in
years) but thrown together? This is the best looking of all of Smith's
films. It truly looks polished and the cinematography and editing
wasn't static as it usually is. He's definitely grown as a visual movie
maker or found a much better cinematographer. I thought Dogma
actually looked awful in most of the action shots. There were tons of
special effects and such. IMO the Blunt Saber scene was actually
better than the one in Star Wars Episode One. You do realize that
$20 million is a drop in the bucket for any film don't you? Hell most
straight to video crap ranges in the $10 to $20 million range! I'm
sorry you didn't like it but the money was all up on the screen trust
me, I'm well versed in movies and what it takes to make them.
However I can't figure why you'd pay to see a movie twice when you
didn't even like it....
