Isn't it weird that the way the catholic church thinks they can dictate....(well really just sway their followers into not seeing or doing something because they believe it may surface some questions or whatever) I am catholic and have just being mowing over Catholicism, my faith recently; why is it such a monarchy; why is it all about money??? Why has religion become more about religion, rather than God. And Kevin; why are people so afraid of just thoughts!
I had to do the whole catholic school thing until 3rd grade until my sister was abused by a nun....This happened many years ago (back in Matawan/Aberdeen school district(NJ)). My mom snapped and took us out of there ASAP. We still went to CCD, or Sunday school though because my mom wanted us to have some sort of introduction God. But then one of my teachers used the scare tactic on me and I came home not being able to sleep one night and she pulled me out.
It is so hard to separate what is real and what isn't. Religion is so man made. Jeeze, I will never forget watching Stigmata with my grandmother a die hard catholic; the situation was so comical, she was "oh dear"ing the entire flick (which was silly overall, I hate the arquette girl) But it did renew my interest in faith; which leaves me with hundreds of unanswerable questions.
What if Jesus isn't christ at all....maybe heaven is achieved by merely doing good things; and in this way you do live on forever by that you aren't forgotten. ANYWAY, I am just rambling. But it pisses me off when the Catholic church opposes many movies that just bring ideas and thoughts to surface. Dogma in no way shape or form did any harm to the church. Besides if they were so confident and sure of themselves it wouldn't matter anyhow would it. They should trust their people to not be so easily swayed. Isn't that what faith is all about, facing the demon and overcoming? Blah enough of my rambling!
