Thank you for sharing Jay and Silent Bob with us. I am a recent convert, a 45 year old keyboard playing accountant who seldom plays in bands anymore. I read about your movie in USA today and a couple of my younger friends filled in this old fart about Jay, Silent Bob, Kevin and the whole trip. I am truly saddened by the fact that you have no future plans for Jay and Silent Bob, but I guess that you alone have the right to decide when you are burned out on these characters.

I am no movie fan (after spending so many years entertaining others, I relax by reading books.), but I loved the 90 minutes of pure escapism. If I had money to spare after paying my property taxes, I would gladly pay the $28 to the gentleman who felt cheated by your movie.

So often, while playing in bands, I have run into pseudo-intellectual wanna-be artistes who can't play a note, but have these elitist tastes they insist make them superior to others. (Is their insecurity showing, or what?)

Your comedy is of a type where either people will love it or not get it. I admire the courage to go with your feelings rather than to compromise.

If you aren't going to do anything with Jay and Silent Bob, anymore, maybe you could let us develop uses for them. Just think, in about 20 years, you will be mainstream, sort of like how the Beatles and Rock Music were new in the sixties, but now are used in TV commercials, etc.

Jay and Bob could do Martha Stewart, have a Lucy-type sitcom or do thousands of things. An easy idea is Jay going to driving school and then dealing with the bureaucracy and the State office that issues driving licenses.

I am really happy to see that you will continue to do movies and intend to see them. Kevin, I know you probably find this sort of adulation boring, but I really liked the five movies you have done with Jay and Silent Bob. I do not profess to know movies well enough to tell you how to "improve" them. So many critics who could not create anything or entertain anyone have all these opinions!! (In my small time world of bar bands, etc. I frequently use a ditsy stage persona, even though I am a CPA in real life. While I am not a "star", I do have some idea what it takes to entertain people.

The $28 dollar critic receives an eternal eye roll from me!!
