: I really hate to say it but I didn't like the JASBSB. I was really looking forward to a strong ending to the series and it just didn't deliver. Let me explain why it didn't appeal to me.

: 1. The beginning seemed very rushed. It felt like one huge rush to get to the hitchhiking scenes. I just recall that I couldn't concentrate on what was happening due to it moving so quickly.

: 2. The big name cameos took over the movie at times. The performances were very poor too. I had no interest whatsoever in any of the characters introduced in the film and wished that they'd all go away as quickly as possible. Will Ferrell made me want to leave the theater at times. It just seemed like someone was trying to squeeze as many stars into the film as they could. I think most fans would agree that the people we want to see most are the people from the previous films. They don't even have to be the same characters. Some stars fit into the series quite well in the past, such as Chris Rock. Although, his scenes in this one did nothing for me.

: 3. The whole monkey story was already done in the JASB comic mini-series. I know it may sound picky but I liked having that story fit into the space between Amy and Dogma. Now, since the scenes are similar if not identical, that either the comics or the new movie are now moot. My feeling is that it should be the movie.

: 4. The previous movies had strong dialouge and banter between characters. The dialouge really sucked in the JASBSB. It even ruined some of the older characters for me. Jason Lee couldn't even make me laugh in this one. That's saying something.

: I'm not going to say I didn't laugh because it did have its moments. I really didn't think this series would end on such a bad note though. It's certainly the worst of the 5.

: This certainly doesn't mean I don't want it to be successful though. I wish you all the best with it and any future endeavors. You'll always have my support. I guess after 4 amazing films though, you're due to have one bummer.

: Sorry but honest,
: John
