Mr. Smith, I'm not trying to sound like I want to suck you off or anything, but let me just say that I saw the movie opening night (I didn't see your post until Monday or I would have seen it again on Saturday) and I think it was outstanding!!!!
Not many directors would have the berries to make a movie for their fans primarily. I mean the movie was funny on its own, but as a follow up to the Jersey trilogy it was perfect. Your "inside jokes" were the best, I hadn't laughed that hard since Indiana Jones recognized the Ark of the Covenant in "The Last Crusade" if you remember that scene. "Jay and Silent Bob" was a true gift to your loyal fans, and if you consider how many less theatres it opened in that American Pie and Rush Hour then I consider your 3rd place showing a moral victory. Affleck and Damon were hilarious, and the Mark Hamill scene was truly inspired. What I like best about you is that your a regular guy at heart and it shows in your movies(that really is a compliment, honest!) I mean if you can throw in a lightsaber battle and get away with it, go for it!!
So all in all, another masterpiece from Kevin Smith!
