Jay and Silent Bob Strike back was hilarious, and had me laughing the whole way through. This is the first one of yours I was lucky enough to see in theater, which was a real treat, and I will never part with my ticket stub. The story really kept me entertained and I wasn't bored with any parts. There were just a few things that didn't set well with me. Brodie saying the thing about the chocolate covered pretzel seemed kinda like a cheap shot just to get that reference in, and it didn't seem to make any sense to me. It is a good way to get fans of the film to see Mallrats, though. I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell, so I considered him a low point of the movie, but on the flipside, he wasn't nearly as annoying as he usually is, so for that I give you congratulations. It reminded me of his performance in The Suburbans (Which is a pretty good flick if you get the chance to check it out. Lots of unfunny people being actually funny, plus Bridgette Wilson, yummy.) Anyway, there is only one other thing: I'm a bitch when it comes to continuity, and the movie seemed to screw some of it up. It didn't seem like there were any loopholes thus far, but the whole rip off of Chasing Dogma was a little iffy. Jay said soething like, "What, do you think I've never stolen a monkey before?" kinda made me feel better, but a lot of it made me squirm in my seat, while I was laughing of course.
That's about it...intriguing movie that, though a little flawed, accomplished what it was trying to and was a winner overall. Kinda like A.I. Anyway, I look forward to the movie about fatherhood and I am praying that the studio lets you do whatever you want (especially if the suprise was Clerks: Sell Out, the Animated Series was pure gold.)
