As being a longtime fan, way back when Clerks was only playing at the State Theater at Rutgers University, I can honestly say that this movie sucked. It had sporadic laughs, but it got old quickly. The camoes were wasted, especially Carlin's. The coolest thing about the flick was seeing the Clerks world in color, but even that takes away some of the romance of Clerks. The only line I really laughed out loud was when Brian O'Hallahan (sp?) said he couldn't believe they had Judy Dench play him.

I miss the old style of dialouge, the witty takes on surbuban slacker culture. And really, Silent Bob's wisdom is getting old, too. I mean, of course when he speaks it's gold, we already know that. The joke is over. Of course, in Mallrats he spoke gibberish, but Mallrats was far from a classic, too. Out.
