Well, I saw JSBSB opening night at one of those megamovieplexes that proliferate around here faster than intern scandals in Washington. It was the biggest theater, and it was more than 60% full. I don't know why it made 11 million and change - I think Miramax is lying and sitting on a wad.

Anyways, I loved the movie. It was kneeslappingly funny, slyly insightful, and full of everything (and more) I've come to expect from a Kevin Smith flick. I've seen far too many movies this summer that were dumbed down, either to not offend people, or to not go over their heads.

JSBSB did neither. Thanks for that. Finally someone with integrity to make a movie, not a showpiece. *ACHEM DISNEY AND PEARL HARBOR COUGH*

As for me, I'm seeing the flick again tuesday...seeing it cheapy night being the product of poor studenthood. PLus I have to save up for the DVD (and there will be a DVD, right?).

Anyways, keep up the good work.
