: I am ashamed to say that, at times, I find it funny. the new film is
almost nonstop cursing, at times done in an intelligent humorous
way (if you can imagine), but often just overboard (swearing for the
sake of swearing it seems). the Bible does say 'to not set anything
wicked before our eyes', and i have to question myself for being a fan
of these films. I guess we should take the stance of- 'if we were to
take the Lord to a movie, would we take Him to one with this much
swearing and/or lewd situations?' I've only been a Christian for 2
years now, and was a fan of Kevin Smith long before, so, this has
been a conflicting situation for me recently. trying to let go of these
earthly ties, i suppose, no matter how appealing they may be.

Hey, man, I get caught up in cursing and stuff too, especially when I'm
around my brother and his friends, cuz that's how they talk. I do feel
bad about if afterwards, tho. You sound pretty mature for such a new
Christian. Some people live their whole lives as Christians and
never really grasp any spiritual truths. I pray that God will bless you
for your convictions and help you figure out the right thing to do.
Thanks for responding politely and intelligently to my posts. It's nice
to have someone backing me up, here! Lots of hostility going
around. I just hope I've planted some seeds and caused some
people to think about some stuff. I think alot of people really will do
anything it takes to avoid feeling guilty and to justify the way they do
things. I've seen so many lame arguments here today. It's a shame
so many people believe the lies they've heard about the Bible. Well,
Thanks again!
