Not trying to inflate anyone's ego...but man what a funny movie. I enjoyed it and with the plethora (just saw three amigos needed to use that word in a sentence) of garbage that seems to have come out this last year I feel as though I've just been let out of the cooler (Like Steve McQueen in the great escape). Thank you Mr. Smith. You gave us a strange look at the pop culture world around us. It's as pervasive as the intertwining of the lives of your characters in the movie. As my film professor would remind us-it's all about intertext. You've made a great movie. Great not only becuase of the fact that it made the theatre I was in laugh out loud for a good two hours, but great because you did what is so hard to do now. Make a movie in Hollywood that YOU wanted to make. Oftentimes it seems that one person's vision gets muddled by the people around them. Yours didn't and I am thankful someone is doing art for arts sake.
