if a person is a Christian, than they are commanded not to hate. just because people distort the Bible to tout their own twisted views (prejudice and bigotry) does not make them Christians. Also, self-righteousness is a sin. all true Christians know themselves to be sinners, as righteousness only somes from God. anyone who says otherwise is not a Christian. contrary to popular belief, there are not contradictions in the Bible. this is not coming from someone who blindly follows Jimmy Swaggert or Pat Robertson, but someone who has investigated devoutly the Bible from page one to the end. comparing the Bible record with actual historical accounts only proves this, and any renowned Biblical archealogist, Christian or not, will attest to this.
