Mr. Smith,

I would like to start out by saying I love everyone of your movies. My favorite being Mallrats, I find it funny that whenever there is a promo of one of your productions, and they list your accolades, they leave that one out!
You ask if we were entertained. Well, I know I was. I was disappointed, though. Far be it from me to criticize one so accomplished like yourself. I never made a movie, and if I did, it is very likely that it would suck ass. Still, I was bothered that alot of the movie was not original. That is, you did come up with the material, but not for this movie. Most of the sceanes with Suzanne were lifted from the Jay and Silent Bob miniseries. I think you have often said not to think too much on the continuity of your movies, but doesn't having Suzanne in this movie with those specific sceanes negate the comic series, which was to be bridge between 'Chasing Amy' and 'Dogma'?
Anyways, as with all your movies, I laughed my ass off! I was just disappointed that some or alot of the ideas were some of your older, alredy used ones. Personally, I felt that the sum off the parts is far greater than the movie as a whole. I understand that you had a previous script for View Askew 5, but scraped it for this, for some reason or another. Why was that? I could assume that, under obligation to the studio, you had to do another movie under preassure, and this was it. I know you are capable of far better, but maybe my problem with the movie is that, since Jay and Bob are the main players, there is scant chance for your spectacular dialouge. I plead you not to end the Askewniverse with this movie.
As for your future works, I look forward to them as always. I have enjoyed everything I have experienced so far from you. Green Arrow is great, as was your run on DD and your various comics with Oni. I hope your second week with JSBSB does as well as the first.
I do have some questions, though, in refrence to your next project, which I assume will be 'Fletch Wins', or what have you. How will you approach this movie, it being the first one not genesised from you? Will you stay true to the author's dialouge, or will the characters sound like they are yours? And will we ever see a 'Chasing Amy' soundtrack?
