It's one thing to not want to remake "Interiors", but is it worse to approach "Small Time Crooks?" Jay and Silent Bob's ... is the first KS movie I have not seen on opening night. And as much as I've enjoyed the others, I am in no rush to the theater. I will undoubtedly, put my money on the table and likely be amused for something short of two hours. But this is not the fifth film I had hoped for. The jokes were always endearing, but it was the eloquence of the honesty that set the earlier films apart. A thoughtful deconstruction of the male ego, or a "no holds barred" love letter to faith. Farcical self-reference? It is a step backwards, albeit probably a hysterical one. You are our Mr. Allen, learn from his mistakes, but don't be afraid of moving forward.
