...about some of the negative reviews is that they parrot the criticisms from the phony internet postings in the movie:

Marc Caro at
http://alliance.zap2it.com/custom/metromix/main_template/0,1325,8-8274-1,00.html

says, "Mewes is a non-actor who may be convincing — and in small doses amusing — as a stoner but lacks the dimension or appeal to carry a movie."

Kirk Honeycutt in the Hollywood Reporter at
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hollywoodreporter/reviews/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1018300

says, "Motormouth Jay and taciturn Silent Bob are, of course, two recurring characters ..., the two slacker-stoners and part-time drug pushers have previously remained in the background ... Now they have their own movie, which underscores the wisdom in Smith's original impulse to keep them in the background. The duo simply lacks the dramatic and comic strength to carry a movie."

Which came first? The fake internet criticism in anticipation of what critics would actually say about the film or were these critics just not paying attention? These reviews make the joke that much funnier. WAy to go Kevin. You 'da Man!

Let's all remember that most film critics are just a bunch of failed screenwriters who savage the creative works of people like Kevin so they can feel superior. I've gotta think that Kevin put the internet postings in the flick

And for most retarded review, may I present... Kevin Maynard of Mr. Showbiz.com
