I was so bummed this weekend. I was really feeling for ya Kevin. In corpus here J&SBSB was playing on 5 screens, two in each of our 16 theater venues and 1 at a smaller joint. The place I go to had it in one really large theater (the opening weekend stadium) and another mid-sized room. I sat in the Friday evening showing in the grand room and counted roughly 20 people in the theater. I almost cried! I went back Sunday for a matinee showing and counted 11 people. I was honestly terrified expecting to get on the net this morning and see, "13th place over the weekend, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Out with $763,000." But alas, my hopes were fulfilled, my fears silenced, as J&SB didn't have an incredible opening weekend, but a fair one. Lets face it, most of the people who saw it this weekend were fans, so your second week should be as good or better, as fans will see it again, while also verbally beating everyone who didn't, very possibly pushing some unsaved folks into the audience (hoping). Once you get a movie out there that rakes in the big bucks, they'll start giving you the budget you deserve. (hoping2)

One oddity I wanted to note for you here... In both of the shows I went to, the demographics were VERY odd... especially given the number of people in the rooms. On Friday, there was an old couple, and two more older single (solo) folks in the room. On Sunday, another old couple and a solo elderly gentleman, complete with cane. (By old I mean 65+) I was truly shocked, and even more so when they stayed to listen to Afroman.

I just wonder if one of those old men now call their wives boo-boo kitty fuck.

Jamey
