Perhaps if you took him down off the pedistool you have created for him you would realise that Clerks was just a movie full of dick and fart jokes with a couple of star wars references, and while you're at it jump off the "Mallrats sucked" bandwagon. Clerks was probably the funniest movie but Mallrats was definately the most fun, Chasing Amy may have had gems of dialogue but parts of that movie were going to be in Mallrats, the going down/jaws homage for example. I don't think there is that much diference between all the films. It would have been nice of you to include some intelligent comments from clerks, perhaps you were think of, "my girlfriend sucked 37 dicks", "In a row" which is of course completely different from any of the jokes in J&SBSB. You don't seem to realise that directors don't have to create works of intellectually stimulating art with everything they create and that Kevin is just a man who enjoys a FUN film, whether it be making it or watching it.
You've clearly missed the point of J&SBSB.
