Current estimates has us only $300k under Rush Hour 2 for second place. We won't win the estimate war, that's lost, over half a dozen sites I frequent regularly are all reporting the same numbers, they are in.
BUT, when the final are released Tuesday, we CAN make #2 if we ALL GET OFF OUR ASSES and get out there and see it. $300k is nothing, we were $400k over AP2 going into Saturday and it outsold J&SB by 2.1 million on Saturday. If it did that, we can outsell RH2 by $300k today!
Rush Hour 2 sucked total monkey nuts, I *refuse* to accept that in it's FOURTH week it could beat J&SB, it is a flaming piece of PG-13 crap made for mass-audience appeal (which is why it's made so damned much phat cash).
Folks, get off your butts and go see it again, and stand outside the theater SLAMMING Rush Hour 2. Scream how bad it sucked. Do everybody a favor (it isn't like you'll be lying).
