I thought this movie was very good. Mr. Smith, I don't know if you read these or not but I'd just like to say I think you are extremely talented. I like the way you connect all the movies. It makes them fun and its a good idea. Everyone wants to see what happens to the characters of a movie after the movies over...yet everyone hates sequels (althought I don't). So this is a great way of having character repitition and still have a breath of fresh air in every movie. The best and most important thing is that your movies are fun. I am 15 years old and I remember when i was younger having aot of fun at a sleepover, watching mallrats. I also remember a short lived mtv series (?) but I cant be sure maybe it was just a special. I remember first seeing Chasing Amy, and then seeing Dogma. Now this movie, its great. And the ending blew me away. You knew JUST what everyone wanted to see. Alyssa Jones and her sister Trish the dish (by the way where was Heather from Clerks?), Dante and Randal, Snowball (i liked how you wnet back to the original Willam) and Banky and Hooper made it a classic ending (by the way I also liked the way u playedwith Bankys sexuality and never answered the big question). I just want to rap up by saying that You are a very good writer and director and although the Askewniverse is over I'd love to see more fun movies from you. And also ignore the critics. I think the final irony is that although it was the least successful, Mallrats is now the most loved. Speaking as a teenager I can tell you I've never met anyone my age that didnt see Mallrats and love it. The others may age and outdate but Mallrats won't because it's on that shelf with The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Thank You.
