No offense to anybody in this post...it's just my opinion and view.
Special interest groups like Glaad, NAACP, WOW, and what have you do more to deter their supposed causes than to help.
I'm in no way racist, homophobe, chauvanist, or what ever else. I prefer to think of myself as a realist.
What I usually take from these groups is that while they have good intentions at heart, their brains general muck things up as the ideas leave the mouth.
All of the groups have the basic sam creed. "we want to be treated as equal". In my eyes, the groups want to be treated better than joe average cracker.
Me being above mention joe average cracker takes offense to this. Where is the equality in somebody being treated better because of the colour of skin or which gentalia you prefer to have slapped across your face.
I would hold a different view of the groups if they stuck to the motto of equal rights instead of priveleged rights.
They do some good, but in my opinion, groups like that do more to segregate than they do to help.
