Dude, i understand your point, but personally, I don't know one person who goes by what critics say. This is mostly because of what you said, and because old grey haired white guys don't usually think the same as the majority of the people who watch movies...teens to people in their early 40's.(at least thats what i see in the theater) Besides people in that group don't usually care about the critics and know how out of touch they are, especially when they say stuff like "Making a movie like jay and silent bob is like making a movie about han solo and chewbacca" and mean it like an insult.
