Bob also spoke in the opening minutes of the film, to their two customers. He said "Purple Rain". I thought that was a nice way to undercut any 'When will Bob say something?' suspense... he did right off the start.
I don't consider the Brodie/Banky error in Ebert's review to be that big a deal, since fans know and casual readers won't notice or give a shit (though maybe he'll fix it before it hits print in his annual book-- it's been pointed out to him in numerous e-mails already, and this is probably the tenth topic since Friday to bring it up...), or the line about Silent Bob's monologue (so what? He was saying something complementary), but I do think he should definitely clean up the credit information on there (maybe it was a Sun Times editor, and not Roger) that has Doherty and Renee Humphrey as prominent.
Roger sees a ton of movies. He relies on press releases and quickly-scrawled notes. He has deadlines- he can't fact-check everything. He's good at his job.
