And by Ebert, no less. I don't know if Kevin will read this, as he's probably busy seeing the movie over and over and over again, unnecessarily pushing it to its guaranteed #1 spot, but that's about as high a literary honor as you can get in my book. I never thought I'd see Jay and Silent Bob compared to the likes of the Snopes of Faulkner, nor did I expect to see New Jersey compared to Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippii. I never would have thought of it, and yet, in Ebert's context, it makes perfect sense.

Congratulations to everyone involved. That comparison is the second best conclusion to a collection of films that you could ask for. The first will be realized when the numbers come in Monday, of course.
