: In Clerks, the question at the end is whether Dante and Victoria get back together? Chasing Amy - Do Holden and Alyssa get back together? And do he and Banky start over again? (answered in J&SB) Dogma - Do Bartleby and Loki get home?
: Why does Mallrats finish with all the answers? What happened to the pattern?

Cause it makes you happy!! Well, maybe it was because of Gramercy, they made Kevin change a lot (see DVD), and as Kevin said about chasing amy, if that movie had been done through a huge studio that ending wouldnt have been, cause the studio would have wanted it to be "happy" and they would have made them end up together (Holden and alyssa). But then again i think Kevin wanted that ending, he went out to make it like J&SBSB, just a damn funny movie, not much thought! Plus the studio wanted a "smart Porky's" and kevin was all about the animal house thing. I just think he wanted a plain old fun as hell movie!
